Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha is making his mark on the pitch as Bayern Munich’s new signing.
Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer has praised new signing Joao Palhinha for his commitment to the club following his summer move from Fulham, Sky Germany reported on Sunday.
Bayern Munich tried to bring Palhinha to strengthen their midfield since last summer but failed to succeed. The Bavarians’ efforts were successful this summer with a fee of €51m plus €5m in bonuses and a contract until 2028.
‘Palinha is a good communicator and he tries to make his presence felt on the pitch. He always wants the ball and is always on the move. I am more interested in what he can do for us.’
‘We have high expectations because he is a strong ยูฟ่าเบท player who has proven himself with the Portuguese national team and in the Premier League. This is a good signing for us,’ Neuer said.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper also spoke about Hiroki Ito, the Japan international defender who joined from Stuttgart this summer but the 25-year-old unfortunately fractured his foot during a pre-season game and will be out for around 3-4 months. ‘Ito will come back stronger and we can definitely count on him.’
